Edith Cowan University (ECU), located in Western Australia, was founded in 1991 and has since developed into a prestigious university with highly regarded research and outstanding student satisfaction rates. In honor of Edith Dircksey Cowan, the first female member of the Australian Parliament, the university bears her name.
